Handheld or rugged tablet?
For frequent scanning and walking, assess trigger access, weight and one-handed operation. Try a rugged tablet for forms, visual inspection or information-dense screens. Vehicle-mounted use also needs mounting, power and visibility checks. Zebra lists picking, shipping, receiving and inventory management among tablet use cases.

How does scan data reach the WMS?
Reading a barcode and posting its value to the correct application field are separate capabilities. Tools such as Zebra DataWedge provide application data capture; Intent Output is one way to deliver captured data to Android software. The configured delivery method must match the WMS application's supported integration.

Run an operational pilot
- Scan the highest and lowest rack labels from normal working positions.
- Enter quantities with gloves; try incorrect and repeated scans.
- Walk between Wi-Fi access points during a transaction.
- Disconnect and retry: verify that no duplicate inventory movement is posted.
- Measure battery consumption over a real shift and plan charging locations.
- Validate Turkish characters, lots, serials and expiry dates end to end.
Compare the complete deployment cost
Request charging docks, spare batteries, cases or triggers, device management, application licensing, setup, training and service as explicit line items. Confirm operating-system support and update periods for the exact model. A Zebra, Honeywell or Datalogic brand name alone does not guarantee compatibility with every WMS.
